The S58 Engine Cooling System
The S58 engine features a cooling system with three front radiators, a central main radiator and two smaller auxiliary radiators in front of each wheel. Tuned engines produce significantly more heat, making it difficult to maintain optimal engine temperatures during intense street and track driving. The OE auxiliary radiators have small radiator nets and plastic end tanks that are not ideal for tuned cars. Upgrading these auxiliary radiators will help ensure proper engine temperatures.
Our Solution
Fortunately, the design space available for the auxiliary radiators allows for an increase in both the frontal area and mesh thickness on both sides of the car. The OE radiator is identical for both sides, and our do88 performance radiators are designed as replacements for both the left and right sides. We sell these in pairs because upgrading just one radiator is not as effective as upgrading both at the same time. Our performance auxiliary radiators offer improved cooling capacity to prevent overheating.
Installation
Installation is easy as our water coolers come with CNC machined mounting brackets and OE style “Quick Connect” inlet/outlet connections. The OE stone guard can be easily fitted to our water coolers to provide protection against small stones and road debris.
