S55 Turbo Blanket for BMW M2 Competition / M3 / M4 (F8x)

Your S55 turbo runs hot — and that heat radiates into the engine bay, raising intake temps and stressing surrounding components. This turbo blanket wraps your S55 turbos in a high-performance thermal barrier, cutting underhood temperatures by up to 90% and protecting everything around it.

Fitment

  • BMW M2 Competition F87 with S55 engine (2018–2021)
  • BMW M3 F80 with S55 engine (2014–2020)
  • BMW M4 F82 / F83 with S55 engine (2014–2020)

Note: Fits the twin-scroll S55 turbos. Not compatible with N55 single-turbo variants (M2 base). Confirm your engine code before ordering.

Installation

  • Difficulty: Beginner–Intermediate
  • Estimated time: 30–60 minutes per turbo (cold engine only)
  • Tools required: Pliers, safety gloves, wire cutters
  • Engine must be completely cold before installation
  • Important: Blanket will smoke during the first 1–3 heat cycles — this is completely normal as the insulation cures. Ensure good ventilation. Smoke disappears after initial cycles.
